SNOW CANYON STATE PARK - IVINS, UTAH

 Snow Canyon is named after early mormon settlers, and distant relatives, Erastus and Lorenzo Snow. Both men were prominent figures of the LDS church during the 1800's.

Part of the Red Mountains, and carved into the red and white Navajo sandstone, this state park contains geological features such as extinct cinder cones, lava tubes, lava flows and sand dunes.


Snow Canyon is 15 minutes north, of downtown St. George.






Activities in Snow Canyon:
  • Hiking - 11 Trails (ranging from an hour and a half to 12 hours, round trip)

  • Climbing
  • Biking
